Today is yet another overcast fall day. I love it. The leaves are dancing in the wind and the dogs are howling. Things here are gradually getting better than my last post. We had a great visit with Lisa and Sam. Lucas is so big and what a charmer. We went to the orchard and came home with two bags of apples. One apple crisp is gone and there is an apple pie waiting to be made.
I'm trying to be more inventive with my cooking to make things last longer. We have cut the electric bill significantly and are hoping to do the same with the grocery bill as well. Cas and Ravi are beautiful young ladies and I'm hoping soon we'll start visiting the Danville church more, so that they may be around some young people their age. It seems wrong, but I'm beginning to question the way South-side is going.
As I sit here, I can see a lovely hen walking across the yard, her bright red comb just wobbling along.
Nathan is doing well in his school work, but has been having a lot of late nights. I'll be glad when he starts taking evening classes next semester. I would also like to go back to school, but I can't make up my mind as to what direction to go. Something with plants or outdoors would be great. Not for a career, but for personal enrichment.
Other than that not much is happening here.
